Revelation Considered V1.0
Installation:
1) The Revelation Considered program requires a little over 2 Meg of
disk space. I am not sure how much computer RAM it needs but it works
with 640K and may work with less. The hypertext system was built using
a product called Black Magic, an hypertext authoring system. It is highly
recommended that a hard disk be used. A ram disk will work even better.
2) The "Revelation Considered" hypertext system is contained in
a ZIP file created with PKZIP V2.04G. Use DOS to copy it to a directory
on your hard disk and type "PKUNZIP HYPEREV1.ZIP" to unzip it.
{UPPER CASE is just to refer to commands that you type and file names.
DOS is not case sensitive.}
2) Delete the HYPEREV1.ZIP file after all of the files have been
extracted. You may want to save the zip file on a backup floppy.
3) The document reader program is called MAGREAD. Log to the
drive and directory which contains the "Revelation Considered"
files and type "REV_GO.BAT". The system will start with the first,
main index file called NOTES1.MAG. REV_GO is a simple batch file
that starts the system at the beginning.
4) It is also possible to type "MAGREAD ANYFILE.MAG" where
ANYFILE.MAG is one of the .MAG files included in the package. The
file NOTES1 is simply the main index and starting point, but the
system can be run by starting with any of the files. It is just
easier to start at the beginning each time.
5) Additional instructions will appear on the screen after
NOTES1.MAG is displayed by the Magread program.
6) Also read the Reader.Txt file after extracting the files and
before starting the system. It contains a brief description of
Hypertext and the reader program.
